1. Introduction

At KitnBit, we believe your files are yours. This privacy policy outlines our compliance with the Kenya Data Protection Act (KDPA), GDPR, and CCPA, as well as strict developer API policies.

2. Zero Upload Architecture

We explicitly reiterate that user files processed using our WebAssembly tools are never collected, transmitted, or stored on our servers. All processing occurs locally within your browser's RAM.

3. Google API Services Disclosure

KitnBit's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. To comply with these terms, we explicitly disclose the following regarding Google user data:

A. Data Accessed

When you authenticate using Google OAuth or connect Google Workspace integrations (such as Google Drive for cloud syncing within KitnVault), our application may request access to specific Google user data. The specific types of data we access include: your primary email address, your basic profile information (name and profile picture), and, only if explicitly granted by you, read/write access to files you explicitly choose to process via Google Drive integration.

B. Data Usage

We use your email and basic profile information solely for the purpose of authenticating your account, provisioning your user profile, and securing your dashboard access. If you authorize Google Drive integrations, we use this access strictly to allow you to import files into our local-first WebAssembly tools for processing, and to save the processed outputs back to your Drive. We do not use this data for any other purpose.

C. Data Storage and Sharing

KitnBit does not store your Google Drive files on our servers; they are processed entirely in your browser's local memory (RAM) and immediately discarded. Your basic profile information (email and name) is securely stored in our encrypted Supabase authentication database. We do not share, sell, or transfer your Google user data to any third-party advertising networks, data brokers, or external entities under any circumstances.

D. AI/ML Model Training Restriction

KitnBit strictly prohibits the use of any Google Workspace user data to train, improve, or develop generalized Artificial Intelligence (AI) or Machine Learning (ML) models. Your private data, documents, and emails accessed via Google APIs are explicitly excluded from any AI processing pipelines used for training purposes.

4. Data Deletion and Revocation

You may revoke our application's access to your Google account at any time via your Google Account Security settings. You may also request the complete deletion of your KitnBit account and all associated profile data by navigating to the "Delete Account" section in the KitnAccount dashboard.
